Yep, we are smitten. Mr Printables is the brain behind this operation, and we can’t wait till the bell rings so we can go out, buy some glycerin bars and start making our body weight in soap gemstones.
You’ll need:
Some bars of colourful glycerin soap
A thin knife or blade, un-serrated
And that’s actually it.
Cut the glycerin bars into chunks, then keep sculpting corners here and there until you make the shape of a gemstone. Place them near a beam of sunlight and voila! You can thread these up like bunting to hang in front of a window, pile them into a bowl, display them on a meh surface, play real-life Bejewelled in your lounge room, or put them in a vase with LED fairy lights underneath – just don’t be surprised if you catch some thieves in the morning.
Also, don’t know why we feel the need to say this, but please don’t eat them.
